March March 6 Annual Rose Pruning "How-to" Event The Seattle and Valley Rose Societies host our annual Rose Pruning "How-to" event from 10 a.m. to 2 pm. West Seattle Garden Tour

Proceeds benefit community-based non-profit organizations. Each year the tour donates a portion of the proceeds to projects promoting horticultural education or to community gardens. Click here for more information. August August 1 , 12:00 p.m. Iris Digging Party with King County Iris Society The King County Iris Society will be digging selected varieties from the display beds. These plants will be part of the Bearded Iris Sale at Crossroads Shopping Center in Bellevue on Saturday August 14th. The proceeds of the Sale help KCIS be self-sustaining and carry out its purpose of educating the gardening public. Removing some of the existing plants will also make room for new varieties including a number of Beardless irises in preparation for the 2012 Regional Convention. The gardening public is encouraged to stop by on August 1st and ask questions about growing irises. Attendees will go home with a free iris! August 15
